What my child needs

If you are concerned about the attributes your child needs to possess to be enrolled in FLCA, ask the following questions:

1.)           Does my child have the desire to know Jesus Christ?
         2.)
Does my child have the basic arithmetic skills?
         3.)
Does my child have the basic writing skills?
4.)           Is my child willing to do their academic best?
5.)           Am I willing to encourage my child to do their best?

If you answered yes to the above questions, then your child could be accepted into the Academy.  If you are concerned about the academic areas, we will be administering placement tests in arithmetic and writing to identify any weaknesses, and the child will be given the opportunity to receive help in these areas to assure a smooth start.

 January 2008

Dear Applicant:

The FLCA directors thank you for your interest in First Love Christian Academy.  The Academy is a non-affiliated mission-based environment designed to educate future Christian leaders.  We offer a superior college-preparatory curriculum.  Students must be willing to praise God by excelling to their fullest and desiring to do His work through them.

In the second chapter of the book of Revelation, God tells John to write to the angel of the church in Ephesus, “I know your deeds, your hard work, and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men.” Then, however, the final truth is revealed in Revelation 2:4, “Yet I hold this against you:  You have forsaken your first love.”  Complementing this scripture, Mark 12:30 is a reminder of the greatest commandment, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”  In Matthew 10:37, Jesus makes it clear Who our First Love must be: “Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”  The study of these scriptures led to the development of the following mission statement for First Love Christian  Academy and the motto for its students.

Mission Statement -  We are committed to raising a generation of Christian leaders who will positively impact society by finding their First Love…Jesus Christ        Revelation 2:4, Mark 12:30, Matthew 10:37

Motto – By His Spirit, I am committed to be the dwelling in which God lives.   Ephesians 3:17-19
